A screenshot of an article has gone viral on social media in which it is being claimed that 27 United Stated Air Force pilots have resigned due to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
According to a news article published on August 23, 2021, the Pentagon was moving to make COVID-19 vaccine mandatory for the U.S. military.
The image is being shared on Facebook with a caption that reads, “Photo only/video on telegram. Stay the ground, Stay Firm, Your body, your choice.”

Doing a keyword search, we found the same article published on realrawnews.com on September 1, 2021.
The About Us section of the website states, “Information on this website is for informational and educational and entertainment purposes. This website contains humour, parody, and satire. We have included this disclaimer for our protection, on the advice of legal counsel.”
We also went through Press Releases issued by the US’s Department of Defense posted on their website but could not find any information about 27 US Air Force pilots resigning due to COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Further, we also searched the web but could not find any credible media report corroborating the viral claim.
Check Your Fact also contacted the US Air Force Press Desk regarding the same to which a spokesperson replied, “We are unaware of any pilots that have resigned their commissions due to the COVID vaccine.”
Thus, it can be concluded from the above information that an article from a parody website is being shared as real news with a claim that 27 United States Air Force pilots have resigned due to COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Therefore, the viral claim is false.
