An image of a bamboo tunnel has gone viral on social media with a claim that it is from Rangpur in Bangladesh.
The image is being shared with a caption that reads, “বাংলাদেশ ও পারে যদি ইচ্ছে করে লোকেশন রংপুর.”
(English translation: “Bangladesh can also do it if they wish, Location Rangpur.”)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be false.
We did a Google Reverse Image Search and found that the same image was uploaded by a Pinterest user, Magic and Reality. The user had described the image as, ‘Bamboo tunnel, W Hotel, Seminyak, Bali.”
Taking a cue from the above post, we searched on the website of W Hotel, Seminyak, Bali, and found a similar image uploaded on its website. W Hotel, Seminyak, is owned by Marriott International. It is an American multinational company that operates, franchises, and licenses lodging including hotel, residential, and timeshare properties.
We compared the viral image with the image present on the website of W Hotel and found that the viral image shows the side view of the same place mentioned on the website.
A similar image was also uploaded on the website with the title, ‘Bamboo Arrival.’
Hence, we can conclude that the viral image is of W Hotel, Seminyak, Bali, and not of Bangladesh’s Rangpur.
