A video is being shared on social media in which a man is talking about a home remedy to treat COVID-19 infection. In the video, it is being claimed that one can treat COVID-19 infection simply by putting a few drops of lemon juice in nostrils.
A Facebook user shared the video with a caption that translates to, “Absolute remedy for corona.”
In this video, a person can be heard explaining how one can treat COVID-19 infection by following some simple steps and also states that lemon will give the same protection as the vaccine.
He further suggests that one should put 2-3 drops of lemon juice in the nose as it purifies the nose, ears, throat and all parts of the heart in just 5 seconds. The person seen in the video also claims that this is a tried and tested remedy, and several people have recovered using it.

On further checking, under the Fact and Fiction topic on the World Health Organization’s website, we found a rebuttal clearly stating that there is no scientific evidence that lemon or turmeric can cure COVID-19 infection.
However, WHO recommends the intake of fresh fruits and vegetables to maintain a healthy diet.

There is no scientific evidence that # Covid19 can be eliminated by adding lemon juice to the nose.”
Therefore, the claim made in this viral video suggesting drops of lemon juice in the nose can cure COVID-19 is false.
