Sri Lankan batting fell like castle of cards as India wins by innings and 239-runs

Nagpur: India crushed the Sri Lankan batting line up as the number one test side managed to win the second test quite easily with an innings and 239-runs on the fourth day on Monday.

Batting first Sir Lanka managed to put 205-runs in the first innings to which India put a massive total of 610/6d with captain Virat Kohli hitting a double ton, joined by individual centuries by Murli Vijay, Chiteshwar Pujara and Rohit Sharma.

In the second innings, Sri Lanka was all out at 166-runs on the fourth-day after lunch.

Meanwhile, spinner R. Ashwin became the fastest bowler in Test history to reach 300 Test wickets in his 54th match.
