Mercedes-Benz has launched the updated GLA SUV range in India, starting from Rs 30.65 lakh ex-showroom and going up to Rs 36.75 lakh ex-showroom for the top variant and will be compliant with new GST regulations. The Mercedes GLA was unveiled in January earlier this year at the Detroit Motor Show.
The updated GLA features newly designed front and rear bumpers along with a sportier grille and alloy wheels. The GLA also features new LED lights with Daytime Running Lights as well. The interiors of the GLA receive minor tweaks with the most significant change being a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Mercedes will offer the GLA with customization options for select variants.
The 2017 GLA line-up for India continues with the same engine options as the pre-facelift model. These include a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.1-litre diesel. The latter comes in two states of tune, making 136hp in the 200d variants and 170hp in the 220d variants while the petrol engine develops 18hp. The updated GLA takes on the likes of the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3.
