Girl arrested by Saudi Arabia police for posting online video in skirt and crop top

The mysterious girl who was seen uploading her video wearing a skirt and crop top on social media while strolling around the streets of Saudi Arabia has finally been found and she is detained by the Saudi police.

According to the Saudi police, the girl image was posted online without girl’s knowledge. The religious police called Presidency of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice was taking necessary steps to stop the viral video on the grounds of the picture depicting “girl in offensive clothing.”

 

According to the strict Islamic law, women in Saudi Arabia are expected to wear loose fitting clothes known as an abaya and cover their hair.

The girl is said to be strolling around the historic town of Ushayqir, which is the birthplace of Wahhabism and is known for ultra conservative Islamic thought.
