German kindergarten evacuated after boy brings WW2 bomb to school

The incident took place in the western city of Darmstadt in Germany, when a teachers found an unexploded World War2 bomb lying on the shelves of the school on Wednesday.

The teachers called the police after noticing a ‘strange object’ on the shelf. The police identified it as a bomb dating back to WW2. The kindergarten was evacuated and the bomb disposal team were called.

“A child had found the stick-type incendiary bomb during a walk in the woods and brought it along to the kindergarten,” Police spokeswomen said.

The unexploded aerial bombs dating back to WW2 still lie out in the open in Germany. More than 2000 tonnes of live bombs are found in Germany every year. these bombs create a ruckus and sometimes claim lives as well.
