Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday broke the record for the most goals in a Champions League season in his side’s semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo got his 15th of the campaign to put the Spanish side 3-0 up in the first half in Munich and beat the previous best of 14 registered by Barcelona’s Lionel Messi in 2011-12 and Jose Altafini ‘Mazzola’ of AC Milan in 1962-63.
